Series Two of the BAFTA winning comedy, the painfully accurate portrait of the modern work-place that leaves you either counting your blessings or questioning your career.

David Brent tries to assimilate the new Swindon intake, a group of well-trained and highly motivated personnel. It should be an easy job. Sadly, someone forgot to tell them they're meant to laugh at everything David says. Unlucky-in-love Tim finds his fortune changing, we discover there's more to demure Dawn than first meets the eye, but there's even less to Gareth.

Um mit Neil (Patrick Baladi) mithalten zu können, taucht David (Ricky Gervais) mit einer Lederjacke und - seinem Vernehmen nach - coolen Schuhen auf, deren Absätze ihn auch größer machen sollen. Aber was er auch macht, um Neil auszustechen, es funktioniert nicht. Während Neil mit einer selbstgebackenen Torte zu Trudys (Rachel Isaac) Geburtstag auftaucht, verstecken Davids Angestellten einen Dildo in seinem Büro. Natürlich findet David ihn just in dem Moment, als zwei Veranstalter von Management-Schulungen bei ihm sitzen und ihn als Redner engagieren wollen. Trudys Geburtstag läuft ein wenig aus dem Ruder, ist aber eine willkommene Gelegenheit für Tim (Martin Freeman), sich weiter Rachel (Stacey Roca) anzunähern.
