When a child goes missing, police in Newcastle have few leads to go on. But as the weeks pass by, they're increasingly concerned about the boy. They have a suspect but not enough evidence to prove anything. Eventually, a torn-up cheque gives them their moment of proof - as the case takes an even darker turn. Also, officers in London get a tip-off about a drugs factory. After a long surveillance operation, they finally uncover a lab making amphetamines underneath a pub.
